We celebrated our 51st Wedding Anniversary on February 6th this year.  It has been quite a journey and we look forward to more.

We have had a cool winter so far.  I am not complaining just stating facts.  Our cool is 40’s at night and upper 60’s during the day.  Having said that I believe we have turned a corner and spring is right there.  You can hear the birds singing every morning and we actually saw a cardinal the other day.  I don’t believe we have ever seen a cardinal here in Florida.

We spent a few days in Fort Myers with our friends Dick and Louise.  They bought a new place and have spent the past 2 months redecorating it.  It looks great and it was so nice to visit with our dear friends. We also visited with Pete’s sister, Lill, and our friend Lynn.
The weather was great and after a drive to Marco Island to see Pete’s cousin, Roger and Nancy, we were taken on a ride on their new boat.
What a great surprise.  An even greater surprise was having the dolphins following the boat.

We had three birthdays back in MN and talked to each one of them on their birthdays.  We also had a lighted candle, sang happy birthday and had them blow it out.  They all thought they really did it.

We had some sad news from Spain as Ana’s mother has died.  She was such a loving and dedicated person to her family.  Helena and Julia were very close to her and will miss her terribly.  Julia has been busy with ping pong.  She is on a team and has competitions regularly.  Helena is in her senior year at school and continues to be a very good student.  Helena is holding Vinylmations we sent to them.

We took a trip to Blue Springs State Park last week.  The manatees seek warmer water there during the winter.  It is so clear that you can see the manatees very good.

We have not been scheduled much at Disney.  Some people look at it as bad but we look at it as vacation.  We have planned a trip to Pompano, Florida next week for a few days.
