First entry for the New Year 2017!!

I guess you can tell how busy we are by my lack of writing on this blog.

We went back to Minnesota for Christmas again this year.  We were able to go to the three youngest granddaughters dance recitals,

Aubrey (6), Bricelyn (4) Sophia (8)

Norske Torske Kluben luncheon, visit with relatives and friends, doctor and dentists appointments, and for both of us to get the worst colds we have had for years (luckily it was toward the end of our 13 days).

Being sick did put a damper on the festivities.  We had to cancel Tim & family Christmas at our place.  We sent all the food home with Tim so they could at least enjoy it.

The next night, Christmas Eve, we celebrated at Lill & Ross’ for about two hours and went home to bed. It’s the first time we have missed Christmas Eve Church for many many years.
The next day we left for Florida and seemed like weeks before we were feeling better. Some dear friends, Sandy & Paul, left chicken noodle soup on our doorstep and I think that did the trick to bringing us back to good health.

We went back to work, Pete went to a Mecum Bros auction, we golfed, had our friends, Dick & Louise, over for supper one night and then flew back to Minnesota.

Our sister-in-law, Jann, died on January 18th.  It did come as a shock for us.  We knew she had cancer and was fighting it through homeopathic methods but did not realize how sick she was.  We were all together to support my brother, Jack, through this
.

On February 3rd, Tim & Laura, Sophia, Aubrey and Bricelyn, arrived in Cocoa Beach at a house we had rented.  We all stayed there for four days.  We walked to the  beach,

ate on Cocoa Beach Pier, Tim & Laura went to Kennedy Space Center and we all went to     Ron Jons Surf shop (open 24 hours a day and what a store). We left Cocoa on Tuesday and spent a day at our place.  They all checked into a Disney hotel that night.  The next day, on Wednesday, we went into Magic Kingdom but Pete and I left early to check into another house we rented, not far from our place, because Dan & Ana, Helena & Julia arrived that night.  The next day, Thursday, we all met up at Hollywood Studios.  It was a great reunion.

We stayed with Dan & Ana at the rented house and on Friday all met up at Sea World.  What a great place that is.  We saw their whale and dolphin shows and enjoyed the day all together.  Tim & Laura left on Saturday after a morning spent at Disney Springs (the former Downtown Disney).

Sunday Dan& Ana and us drove to Cocoa Beach and spent a beautiful sunny day there. Monday we all went into Epcot and Tuesday they went to Kennedy Space Center.  From what Tim & Laura and Dan & Ana told us about the space center we think we need to go back (also Pete wants a sweatshirt likes Helena's).  It sounds like it has changed a lot since our last visit.

Dan & Ana, Helena & Julia left on Wednesday and we went home.

We needed to do all the housekeeping things inside and out as we had not been home for almost two weeks.  Now, I think, we are back to normal.  We had wonderful 70-80 degree sunny weather for the 13 days the kids were here.  Yahhhhhh!!!!!

The birds are singing a concert for us today.  It is so good to hear them back again. The trees and bushes are getting their new leaves.  Guess it is spring for us.

Bye, Bye for now.
