We are still here!!!

Now what a fall we have had! It just went speeding by!

We arrived in FL the first part of October.  We, (as in Pete) always spend a few days when we get here trimming trees, spraying for ants, cleaning out our shed, washing the car, etc.  Then we (as in both of us) take the golf cart out of the shed and wash the motorhome. Then we (as in Mary Lou) cleans the motorhome. Then we are all set and get out the lawn chairs and relax with a cold glass of lemonade.

We started working at Disney again the 13^th of October.  It took a couple of days to get back in the swing and then off we went.  We have been working a couple days a week except for Thanksgiving week we worked 8 out of 6 days.  Now we are back to one day a week which is perfect for us. 

We have been able to go to the beach, bowl, bike, meet with friends and just plain drive around and explore.

Some of you may have heard that the 102 year old company of “Linder’s” has closed its doors.  This has been very difficult for all the Linder family.  We have been worried about this for several years but always thought it could get better.  The combination of three years of the worst spring’s we have ever had, some difficulties with financing, the economy, changing demographics, customers ever changing ideas about gardens and improving their yards have all added up to forcing Linder’s to make this very difficult decision.

Pete made a trip back to MN the end of October for business and I made a trip back to MN for my Grandma weekend, happened to be Halloween, so we did not see much of each other for a couple of weeks.  Even after almost 49 years of being married we still enjoy being together.

We were very lucky when Pete made a sudden trip back to Minnesota the end of October.  He noticed water dripping from our ceiling in our condo. Turns out the woman who lives above us had wood floors installed and when they pulled up the carpet one of the nails was into the water pipes (we have hot water heat in our floors).  They got the leak stopped in their condo but never thought (how unconscious can they be) that it might affect the neighbors below. The management company has a company, ”Restoration Professionals”, who take care of the cleanup and repair.  They dried out the condo and then had to evaluate it.  They needed to repair the ceiling, paint, and clean the whole place and carpet.  When we get back at Christmas we have to unpack the boxes of stuff and get our place back in order.

We hope your Thanksgiving went well for all of you.  We celebrated a few days early, as we had to work on Thanksgiving.  We (Pete) made a little turkey on the grill and we (Mary Lou) made the fixings. Even with all that has gone on with Linders the last few years we still have a lot to thank God for.

We are looking forward to returning to Minnesota for Christmas.  We miss our families and friends back there.
