We are still here!!!

Today it is raining “Cats and Dogs” and it looks like it may be here for a while.  From our experience this is unusual for Florida.  This is not rainy season and if it rains it usually goes away very quickly and the sun comes out.  It is 71 degrees so I am not complaining. 

We have been having trouble with our new refrigerator.  It moans and groans and gets louder at night.  The GE service man said all refrigerators make noise.  Surprise to me.  I told him we have been married almost 50 years and we have never had a refrigerator that made noise.  Their fix was to put something over the cables to help make it quieter and that was done two different times.  Now, well, it is a lot better and I guess we will accept it because we are worried another refrigerator may make more noise.

I had a Grandma fix time at Tim and Laura’s the first part of this month.  It is so exciting to see everyone and especially the girls.  They change almost daily.  They are so full of activity and are working on projects all the time. 

We had Corri (Granddaughter #1) and her friend Casey here for a long weekend.  They came on a Thursday night and left on Sunday night.  We went into Disney two days and went to the beach on another day.  Grandma & Grandpa had a great time and we hope they did too.

We have been working but not too much.  It has been a fun time.  In the last two weeks we worked one day.  This week (Thanksgiving week) we work four days.  Next week we are not scheduled to work at all.

 

That gives us time to do things we enjoy. 1.  We will be going to Fort Meyers to participate in the State Senior Games in bowling on the 6^th of December.  We have two other couples going along so will be a fun weekend.  We will also see other friends there and have arranged a dinner with them. 2. We will go into Hollywood Studios to see the Osborne Family light shows. 3. We will go into Magic Kingdom to see the Christmas Fireworks and we need to do this before we leave for MN on the 13^th of December.
