We are still here!!!

I missed a couple of months plus. OPPS!!!!

We have been busy, as always. When we left Florida I vowed to walk up the Stillwater steps once a day and to ride my bike every day. How do you think that is working out? You are right – it is not working out.

I have been golfing once a week and we both enjoy playing Pickle ball and bowling but mostly we have been busying ourselves with various projects.

Pete made a puppet theatre for the girls. We thought they would be very excited about it but turns out they are so, so with it. We will try to put on a few puppet shows for them to show them how it is done and maybe that will help them out.

Tim & Laura replaced their carpet in their lower level and we helped paint and finish some woodwork. Sophia and Aubrey shared a bedroom and now they each have their own room. Sophia picked green and yellow and Aubrey picked purple and yellow for room colors. They do look good.

We took a short trip to Arkansas to visit friends from the RV Park we used to own in. It was HOT!! Next year we will go in the fall on our way to Florida. It was a great time and so much fun to be reunited with our friends again.

We did something a little different for us and joined a “Boat Club” with Tim and Laura. We can get boats on various lakes and the St. Croix River, Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. We have gotten a pontoon a few times and a speed boat already. You can make a reservation or just book one spontaneously on the day you want it.

It is so nice to go to the dock and they meet you and carry all your things to the boat. The boat is clean and gassed up and ready to go. When you come back they carry your things to the car and you leave. They gas it up and bill our Visa for the gas. No clean up, maintenance, winterizing or storage. You can have up to four families involved and we already have interest from two families for next year. We can possibly move up to longer times or more days and share the price. I think we are going to enjoy it.

We have been preparing for Dan, Ana, Helena and Julia to arrive from Spain today. Just got a call their flight was cancelled because of a computer glitch with Delta. BOO, WHO!!!!! We will wait and see if they can get here tomorrow. What a hassle for them. They have bad luck when traveling as far as flights go. One time they were coming here and they had a one day strike by the airline employees in Spain. Just happens that was the day Dan was leaving and his flight got cancelled. There have been several other bad experiences. We just want them to be safe and make it here.

Helena graduated from high school.
