We are still here!!!

I guess this will be my timeline from now on.  Every month and a half to two months.

So much has happened.  The saga with Dan and his family finally worked out.  They were two days late coming to MN and Dan & Julia went on one plane from Amsterdam through Boston and Ana and Helena went on another plane from Amsterdam through Atlantic City. They were exhausted and tired of airports and airplanes and traveling.   Needless to say however, they had to get back on a plane two days later for New York City.  Originally it was just a side trip to get to know NYC but now it was almost a burden for them to go.  They went and they had a good time.

We filled their time in MN with lots of things to do such as an all day pontoon trip on the St. Croix River, the Minnesota State Fair, an overnight at Randy and Sue’s cabin, bicycling on the new Brown’s Creek Trail out of Stillwater, a family picnic, a six granddaughter shoe adventure at the Mall of America (only took us six hours).  They each could buy one pair of shoes of their choice no price limit and Grandpa paid.  We also had a lot of lunches and dinners and visited, and visited and visited.

Ana and Helena had to leave after two weeks.  Ana had to get back to work and Helena had to

prepare for the start of her 1^st year of college at the University of Salamanca where Dan teaches.  Dan and Julia stayed on for our nieces wedding the 3^rd of September.

After Dan and Julia left the younger granddaughters started school.  Sophia (7) is in 2^nd grade, Aubrey (5) is in kindergarten, and Bricelyn is in her 1^st year of pre pre school (Monday through Thursday 9-noon). 

Lately we have been getting things ready for our departure with doctor visits, Flu shots, packing, getting our cars ready (the Cabrio gets stored and the Mercedes goes with us).  I think we are ready and may even leave a day early (Friday instead of Saturday).

We have a two week trip planned on our way to Florida.  We are stopping in Washington DC, Atlantic City, the Outer Banks, Myrtle Beach and then our home in Florida.
