Good News! Tim and Laura got engaged on Valentine’s Day. They plan a May 2009
wedding.

We close on our lot today. Our new address is 206 Broken Woods Blvd. Davenport, Fl 33837.

We golfed last week for the first time. The golf course here has 18 holes and is an Executive course. The fairways are narrow and you really need to use caution so you don’t hit any coaches.

We were busy with two Valentine dances last week. They both had great music from our era. The one on the 14th was a Sock Hop and I won the prize for the best costume.

We drove down to Marco Island on Friday to spend a few days with Pete’s cousins, Roger and Nancy, Barb and Tom and Arnie and Julie. Roger and Nancy live in a beautiful house on Marco. Before we arrived at their house we drove down Highway 41 which heads East. The highway has a big ditch filled with water on the side and you can usually see a lot of alligators. I quit counting at 50 alligators. On Saturday we had a boat ride in Roger and Nancy’s boat and went to a boat parade in Goodland (SE of Marco Island) where they have a lot of fun with the activities they have as you can see.

Our friends Fred and Susan arrived from Minnesota with their coach on Sunday. They took us to an area north of here where there is a very unique development. It is called “The Villages”. The whole concept of this development reminded us of the movie “The Truman Show”. If you have not seen this movie it is a must see. The residents describe this development as a “Disney for Adults”. We visited with some of Fred and Susan’s friends and went back on Monday for a tour of the area. See their web site at: www.thevillages.com
